Abayagiri Dagaba

This dagaba stands at the center of one of the largest and oldest monastic complexes in Anuradhapura.it is the second largest stupa in Sri Lanka (235 ft. from pavement level to the tip of the damaged spire). It is said to have been built over the Buddha’s footprint in the first century B.C and commissioned by King Vattagamini.
